A Romantic Vision

The September 2007 issue of Domino magazine freatured a segment on Jeremiah Goodman's watercolor renderings and recreating rooms from them. Evidentally he has an amazing book out covering his career, works, and reflections. Jeremiah Goodman: A Romantic Vision is definately something I must own! These renderings of grand and sophisticated rooms give us a glimpse into the past. He has painted the rooms of President Ronald and Nancy Reagan, Greta Garbo, and many others. His works have been featured in House and Garden, New York Times Magazine, Harper's Bazaar, as well as Interior Design, which he illustrated the cover for 15 years.

Ferm Living

This morning while reading one of my favorite blogs, Decor8, I came across a post for the new Ferm Living site. They have beautiful wallpapers and stickers for your wall, and they are adding a bedding line soon! These wallpapers are great:

And I love these wall stickers. They're like easy stencils, only not tacky!

Fabulous Stationary

I recently ordered these cards from Fabulous Stationary for my aunt's wedding. What a great wedding gift! The graphics are beautiful, and I had a difficult time deciding. This was another one that I loved:

The couples cards were my favorite, because they're perfect for almost every occassion. My favorite part...they print the address on the back of the card for free AND the envelope has a window in the back to see the address! How cool is that?!

Cozy Nook

Some typical options for the space under a staircase may be a closet or a bookcase. I love the idea of a cozy reading area. This image is from the book "Private Places" by Judith Wilson. Taking cue from a window seat or daybed, the designer has made this small space inviting. Mixing striped materials and adding several pillows creates a perfect balance between masculine and feminine. Anyone would feel at ease here!
